Message from the Managing Director

Dear Valued Stakeholders,

As the premier oil bunkering facility in Sri Lanka, I would like to extend my appreciation to our esteemed customers, business partners and employees who are the key pillars for the success of Jaya Container Terminals Limited, throughout the past 13 years.

We JCT Limited are committed to operate and deliver a reliable timely service in bunkering by utilizing its facilities, directly and transparently to our trades by reaching out to that extra mile by adding a great value to the business.

One main component in our major expansion projects is the building of new storage tanks with the motive of expanding the Colombo Oil Bank which is already under progress while the entire globe is badly affected and resulting in major losses to the transportation sector, including the shipping industry.

In keeping with its vision the JCT Limited has worked immensely towards achieving its objectives by going the extra mile to serve its customers even during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Asia-Pacific is one of the largest exporters of goods globally and is leading the market for bunkering. With the expected growth in maritime trade, the region is likely to continue its dominance throughout.

Therefore, being proactive and innovative has proven us to project ahead in initiating a novel approach by setting up goals in order to identify many other strategically potential locations such as Trincomalee Port to look in to the possibilities of commencing the bunkering business.

We, JCT Limited, are looking forward to comply with the demand of the global bunkering market in keeping with global oil bunkering trends and standards and further researching in marine waste oil and sludge oil reception and refining which too has a high demand in Sri Lanka.

I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to The President of The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa, The Prime Minister, Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Minister of Ports & Shipping Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawrdena for the encouragement, motivation and the guidance provided throughout the period of success of the JCT Limited.
